If you would like to have a complete service, here are some things to consider.

Do you want viewing?
What type of casket?
How many limousines, lead cars?
Do you want the service at the funeral home, or a church?

With the above options we would recommend personalizing the service.

Please feel free to bring in any items; we will also pick them up at your home to be later present at the service.
Example:
Pictures
Personal Items (gardening tools, hobbies, musical instrument etc.)
Videos of your loved one
Special Music (we supply the CD sound system)

Visitation:
The visitation can be held in a location of your choice, the funeral home, your home, a church or other facility.
Viewing the body during the visitation can be an important ingredient of grief therapy. Denial is a natural part of the grieving process, and psychologists know that viewing the body can be beneficial in helping survivors face the reality of death, an important first step in overcoming grief.

Cremation:
If you wish to have Cremation, the body will be cremated in the same enclosure in which the family has chosen. This enclosure can be a simple unlined rigid container or it can be a traditional casket.
Cremated remains are usually placed in a permanent receptacle, called an urn, before being committed to a final resting place. Cremation urns are available in a variety of sizes, styles and materials. While cast bronze, hardwood and cultured marble are popular construction materials, you will want to consider where the urn will eventually be placed before making your final choice. The Urn can then be placed in a compartment in the Urn placement room at Eventide. The compartment has a transparent front made of glass, and the front faced with bronze. It is a comfortable and private room and therefore great for generations to visit. Some people choose to display the urn in their homes. Others choose to scatter the cremated remains, sometimes in a special scattering garden at the cemetery.
We use Central Alberta Crematorium Ltd for all of our cremations. They are locally licensed owned and operated. Central Alberta Crematorium is located within the Alto-Reste Cemetery, 3.6 km east of 30 Avenue on Highway 11. The crematorium is surrounded by beautiful trees and flower gardens and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Located directly behind the crematorium are the scattering gardens where families can scatter the ashes and can come back to visit the garden for many years to come. The pathways and benches make it a nice place to come, sit and remember your loved one. In front of the crematorium there is a beautiful fountain with a pathway leading to the columbarium niches where families can choose to place their loved one's urn.

We urge you to give careful consideration to your selection of memorialisation. Permanent memorialisation provides a lasting tribute to your loved one, while providing future generations with a focal point for remembering.
