At Eventide Funeral Chapels
Ltd. our mission is to always show honour and respect for
the deceased, to serve families with integrity,
compassion and dignity. For over 79 years Red
Deer and community have chosen Eventide Funeral
Chapels as their service provider and we are
honoured and proud to be a part of
Red Deer's history.
Today the company which stands as Eventide Funeral
Chapels Ltd was in 1929 called Orme Funeral Home.
It was located at 4930 54th Street in Red Deer. In
1943 it was then bought by Brown and Johnson.
In 1966 the name was changed to Eventide Funeral
Chapels and the Schmelke family of Red Deer entered
into partnership. In 1977 they purchased all the
shares in the company and continued to run the
business in the same downtown location.
On December 15, 1989, Eventide opened its doors at
the current location and new building at 4820 45th
Street, Red Deer, AB T4N-1K5. |
